Your Partner in Everyday Wellness

Dr. Lauren Cottom is a Naturopathic Doctor dedicated to supporting women through all decades of life — from the teenage years through menopause. She earned her doctorate from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University of Health Sciences), where her passion for women's health took root.

Her practice centres on preconception and fertility, pregnancy and postpartum, peri/menopause and the many stages in between, with particular passion for those navigating endometriosis, adenomyosis, and PMOS (formerly PCOS).

She also has a strong interest in skin health — given the connection between skin, hormones, and the gut. She supports patients with acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and other chronic skin concerns, addressing them at the root rather than the surface.

She believes every woman deserves to truly understand her own body — that knowledge is empowering. She works with her patients to make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, turning confusion into clarity and confidence. Her approach always starts with the foundations — building sustainable habits that fit real, everyday life rather than quick fixes.

Dr. Lauren holds extra certifications in microneedling, PRP facial and hair restoration, Mercier Therapy, and Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture.

In her time away from the office, you can find her on the soccer field, in the mountains skiing, cooking up something in her kitchen, or puttering away in her garden.

Dr. Lauren sees patients virtually across Manitoba and in person at the Myüz Artistry Expansion at 1438 Corydon Ave. in Winnipeg, MB.

My Approach

I believe healing happens when you feel truly heard. My practice is built around unhurried, personalized care — time to listen, time to ask questions, and time to understand what's really going on in your body and your life, not just the symptom in front of us.

I approach each case by looking at the whole picture: your cycle, your stress, your sleep, your nutrition, your history. Rather than chasing symptoms one at a time, we work together to understand the underlying patterns so we can address foundational imbalances — not just manage what's on the surface.

I draw from both conventional and natural medicine, using the best of each. That might mean comprehensive lab testing and conventional diagnostics alongside botanical medicine, nutrition, acupuncture, and collaborating with your MD and other practitioners— whatever combination serves your body best. You don't have to choose between "natural" and "effective." My goal is to build a plan that's grounded in evidence, tailored to you, and sustainable for your life.

Education is at the heart of how I practice. I want you to understand why we're choosing a particular path — what's happening in your body based on your bloodwork and symptoms, what the research says, and what your options are. When you understand your own health, you're equipped to ask the right questions, push back when something doesn't feel right, and advocate for yourself in every healthcare setting, not just mine.

That's ultimately the goal: no dependence on me, but confidence in yourself. I want you to leave feeling empowered — trusting your body and knowing you have the knowledge to make decisions that are truly right for you. This is a partnership. You know your body better than anyone. My role is to bring clinical expertise, curiosity, and care, and to walk alongside you as we figure out what balance looks like for you.

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine blends time-tested traditional healing practices with modern medical science. Rather than simply managing symptoms, the goal is to identify and treat the underlying cause of disease, supporting the body's natural capacity to heal and restore balanced physiology.

Naturopathic Doctors take a whole-person approach, crafting personalized treatment plans suited to each individual. This approach is well suited to both acute and chronic conditions, and naturopathic medicine is widely recognized as a leader in preventative care.
